Our Adoption Process

1
Apply to Adopt
Start by filling out our adoption application — it’s the first step in helping us get to know you, your lifestyle, and what you’re looking for in a dog. The more detail you share, the better we can match you with a Boxer whose personality and energy fit perfectly with your home.
2
Review Process
Our team carefully reviews your application, checks references, and schedules a home visit to ensure it’s a safe and happy environment for a Boxer. We want to make sure it’s the perfect match for everyone involved.
3
Meet, Greet & Adopt!
Once approved, we’ll arrange a meet and greet with your potential new family member. If it’s love at first sight (and usually it is!), you’ll complete the adoption, pay the adoption fee and welcome your new Boxer home. 🐾
Adoptions
Our adoption application is general, which means it doesn’t reserve a specific dog. Adoptions happen on a first come, first approved basis.
Before taking your new Boxer home, we’ll schedule a meet-and-greet with any dogs already in your household.
Already applied before? Great! If it’s been less than a year and your information hasn’t changed, your application is still active. Just reach out to our adoption team if you’re interested in a specific pup!

3 Days
The initial days are crucial for the new dog to decompress from the stress of the move and adjust to the new environment. This phase involves providing a safe, quiet space, avoiding overstimulation and allowing the dog to settle in.
3 Weeks
During this period, the dog begins to explore their surroundings, learn routines, and start to trust their new family. This is also a time when behavioral issues might emerge, so consistent routines and positive reinforcement are important.
3 Months
By three months, most dogs have settled into their new home, formed bonds with their family, and developed a sense of security. This phase focuses on continued training, socializing, and building a stronger bond with the pet.

Adoption Fees
At any given time, we have over dogs in foster homes across Washington and Oregon, each one waiting for their forever family.
